As a WordPress Web Designer with 2+ years of experience, you’ll work within our creative and development teams to design, build, and maintain WordPress websites that are visually appealing, responsive, and aligned with client brands and user experience best practices.
Job Responsibility
- Design, build, and customize WordPress themes and templates to match brand identity and client requirements.
- Convert design mockups (Figma / Adobe XD / Sketch) into functional WordPress sites.
- Execute on-page and off-page optimization, including content optimization and link building
- Ensure responsive design: websites should work well across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Optimize UI/UX: good layout, navigation, usability, clean typography, intuitive design.
- Collaborate with graphic designers, content team and developers to integrate visuals, content, and functionalities.
- Maintain, update, and troubleshoot existing WordPress sites.
- Ensure websites are fast, accessible, cross-browser compatible, and SEO-friendly.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience designing and implementing WordPress websites.
- Strong skills in WordPress theme development/customization.
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JS (or enough to make custom adjustments).
- Good understanding of UI / UX principles: colour, layout, typography, user flow.
- Solid portfolio showing completed WordPress projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage deadlines.
- Attention to detail, clean code/design practices.
